Behind the Pearl Earrings

Milwaukee Press Club Board of Directors, Maryann Lazarski, produced a documentary that will be part of this year’s Milwaukee Film Festival.  Winner of the Milwaukee Press Club’s 2015 Best Documentary, the story tells of a Shorewood photographer, Dickey Chapelle, the first American woman war correspondent to die in action in Vietnam in 1965.

The MPC Endowment, Ltd., helped to underwrite the production for Milwaukee Public Television.

“Behind the Pearl Earrings” is part of a double feature on the following days of the festival:

September 27, 3:45 p.m. at the Downer Theater

October 3, 6:15 p.m. at the FoxBay Theater

A Q&A will follow each film.
