Agenda: During the Annual Meeting, a brief state-of-the-club address and ratification of board member elections will take place prior to the investiture of Paul Cebar as a Knight of Bohemia.
The Circle of the Knights of Bohemia is comprised of community leaders who are not journalists and recognizes exemplary community leadership. This year, we honor Paul Cebar for his long-standing and continuing artistic contributions to our community.
Cebar has been a part of the Milwaukee music scene for more than 40 years, starting as a coffee house performer. He’s played on virtually every stage in the area – and around the country – as a solo performer or with his very danceable bands the R&B Cadets, the Milwaukeeans, and the Tomorrow Sound. He’s performed and recorded with some of the finest musicians in the area and moves effortlessly between rock, rhythm and blues, New Orleans jazz, African, Latin, Caribbean, reggae and zydeco. Cebar’s shows and recordings feature his own compelling songs and obscure cover tunes he has popularized.
For decades, Cebar has hosted a weekly radio show on WMSE where he delights listeners with rarities from his extensive and eclectic music collection.
