Greg Marcus, president and chief executive officer of The Marcus Corporation, will be the featured speaker at a Newsmaker Luncheon, hosted jointly by the Milwaukee Press Club and WisPolitics.com on Thursday, September 2.
The Marcus Corporation is one of Milwaukee’s most recognizable companies. It was founded in 1935 with a single movie theater in Ripon, Wisconsin. Today the company operates Marcus Theatres and Marcus Hotels and Resorts.
Over the last 18 months, entertainment destinations, hotels and restaurants were hit particularly hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Marcus will discuss this as well as how he sees downtown Milwaukee coming back to life after the pandemic.
Marcus will take questions from a panel of journalists and from the audience at the luncheon, set for 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Newsroom Pub, 137 E. Wells St.
