MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Press Club and the Rotary Club of Milwaukee will present a joint luncheon program on Tuesday, January 24, featuring a conversation with Mike Haas, administrator at the Wisconsin Elections Commission and Brian Bell, administrator at the Wisconsin Ethics Commission. The program will be moderated by Steve Walters, senior producer at WisconsinEye, a Madison-based organization devoted to nonpartisan coverage of state government and public policy discussion.
In 2016 the state’s Government Accountability Board was dismantled and replaced with two distinct commissions: the Wisconsin Ethics Commission and Wisconsin Elections Commission. During this program Walters will interview Haas and Bell to learn what this action might mean for Wisconsin citizens. This program will be live streamed at WisconsinEye.
Lunch and networking will begin at 11:45 a.m., with the program running from noon to 1:15 p.m. in Memorial Hall at the War Memorial Center, 750 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive in Milwaukee. Parking is available to the north of the building – please tell the attendant you are there for Rotary. Seating will be limited for this event and advanced registration is required.

The cost to attend is $18 for MPC members and $23 for non-members. Lunch is included. Registration deadline is Friday, January 20. Advanced registration and payment are required and may be done by booking below. Checks may be mailed to the MPC at PO Box 176, North Prairie, WI 53153-0176. Cancellations will be accepted up to 48 hours in advance for a full refund.
