The Milwaukee Press Club will present a Newsmaker Luncheon featuring University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Chancellor Mark Mone on Wednesday, April 15.
The public is invited to attend the event from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Newsroom Pub in downtown Milwaukee at 137 E. Wells St.
Mone was named chancellor of UWM by the University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents on Dec. 15, 2014. A professor of management in the UWM Lubar School of Business, Dr. Mone also served as the former chancellor’s designee for strategic Planning and campus climate. Mone has been on the UWM faculty since 1989.
Mone will discuss the future of UWM and the impact of the proposed state budget cuts. He will be interviewed by a panel of Milwaukee journalists.
The Milwaukee Press Club’s Newsmaker Luncheon Series is sponsored by Journal Communications and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
The Milwaukee Press Club presents the Newsmaker Luncheons to shed light on issues of the day. The public is invited to attend the luncheons. The cost to attend is $18 for MPC members, $23 for non-members, $13 for students. Lunch is included. Seating will be limited. Advanced registration and payment are required and may be done by booking below. Checks may be mailed to the MPC at PO Box 176, North Prairie, WI 53153-0176. Cancellations will be accepted up to 48 hours in advance for a full refund.
