The Milwaukee Press Club will present a Newsmaker Luncheon featuring “Pundits and Pollsters” who will discuss the dynamics of the upcoming Nov. 4 election in Wisconsin.
The public is invited to attend the Newsmaker Luncheon, which will take place Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Newsroom Pub in downtown Milwaukee at 137 E. Wells St.
The panelists who will assess the election will include: Marquette University Law School poll director Charles Franklin; WisPolitics news analyst JR Ross; Milwaukee Journal Sentinel No Quarter columnist Dan Bice; and Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Washington Bureau Chief Craig Gilbert. The discussion will be moderated by Milwaukee Journal Sentinel editorial page editor David Haynes.
The discussion will cover the latest trends in the gubernatorial race between incumbent Republican Scott Walker and Democratic challenger Mary Burke, as well as the attorney general race between Democrat Susan Happ and Republican Brad Schimmel, as well as other races in the state. The panelists discuss the factors that will determine the outcomes, the impact of the state’s new Voter I.D. law, the strengths and weaknesses of the candidates, the latest momentum and the expected voter turnout.

The cost to attend is $18 for MPC members, $23 for non-members, $13 for students. Lunch is included. Seating will be limited.
