MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Press Club will present a Newsmaker Luncheon on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, featuring radio talk show host Charlie Sykes.
The public is invited to attend the event from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the Newsroom Pub in downtown Milwaukee at 137 E. Wells St.
Sykes, host of WTMJ Radio 620’s Midday talk show, announced he will step down from his post at the end of the year. Sykes, a political pundit and author of books including A Nation of Victims, Dumbing Down Our Kids, ProfScam, The Hollow Men, The End of Privacy, 50 Rules Kids Won’t Learn In School, and A Nation of Moochers, also edits WI Interest, a magazine published by the Wisconsin Policy Research Institute. He is a former reporter for The Milwaukee Journal and former editor of Milwaukee Magazine.
Sykes will be interviewed by a panel of Milwaukee journalists and also will take questions from the audience.
The Milwaukee Press Club’s Newsmaker Luncheon Series is sponsored by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
The Milwaukee Press Club presents the Newsmaker Luncheons to shed light on issues of the day. The public is invited to attend the luncheons. The cost to attend is $18 for MPC members, $23 for non-members, $13 for students. Lunch is included. Seating is limited. Advanced registration and payment are required and may be done by booking below. Checks may be mailed to the MPC at PO Box 176, North Prairie, WI 53153-0176. Cancellations will be accepted up to 48 hours in advance for a full refund.
