MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Press Club will present a Newsmaker Luncheon on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, featuring Milwaukee County Board Chairman Theodore Lipscomb, Sr.
The public is invited to attend the event from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the Newsroom Pub in downtown Milwaukee at 137 E. Wells St.
Lipscomb first was elected 1st District Supervisor in a write-in election in 2008. He now is serving his third term after being re-elected in 2012 and 2016. The 1st District includes Bayside, Brown Deer, Fox Point, Glendale, River Hills and a portion of the Northeast side of Milwaukee. Prior to becoming Chairman in 2015, Lipscomb served as Co-Chair of the Finance, Personnel and Audit Committee and also served on every standing committee of the County Board at some point over the previous seven years. He also serves on the board of the Milwaukee Public Library, the Milwaukee County Research Park Corporation and the Wisconsin Counties Association.
Lipscomb will be interviewed by a panel of Milwaukee journalists and also will take questions from the audience.
The Milwaukee Press Club’s Newsmaker Luncheon Series is sponsored by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
The Milwaukee Press Club presents the Newsmaker Luncheons to shed light on issues of the day. The public is invited to attend the luncheons. The cost to attend is $18 for MPC members, $23 for non-members, $13 for students. Lunch is included. Seating is limited. Advanced registration and payment are required and may be done by booking below. Checks may be mailed to the MPC at PO Box 176, North Prairie, WI 53153-0176. Cancellations will be accepted up to 48 hours in advance for a full refund.
