and listed alphabetically by organization. Click here for finalists.
Award winners — gold, silver and bronze – will be announced later.
This year’s contest drew more than 750 entries from throughout Wisconsin in
professional and collegiate categories. The competition was judged by professional
journalists from press clubs throughout the U.S., including statewide clubs in Alaska,
Arizona, Florida, Idaho and Southeast Texas and metro area clubs in Dallas, Cleveland,
Houston, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Orange County, San Diego, San Francisco and Syracuse.
“As Wisconsin’s leading journalism organization we are committed to best practices and keeping everyone up to date about the global epidemic,” said Gene Mueller, President of the Milwaukee Press Club.
“We are also committed to helping lead the recovery of our community and state,” said Mueller. “Therefore we are postponing rather than canceling our events whenever possible and potentially adding virtual, internet events to help people understand what is happening behind the headlines. We hope to reschedule the Gridiron Dinner, featuring our Sacred Cat and Headliner honorees, soon.”
“We promise to stay in touch with our members and friends and urge everyone to follow best practices in your business and social activities. As we learn more about the epidemic and how best to deal with it, we will do our best to keep everyone informed and move quickly to help keep everyone safe.”
