Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster. Mr. Almond was the victim of an armed robbery in which the Lipinski Stradivarius violin was stolen. The instrument was recovered by the Milwaukee Police Department. The 1715 Lipinski Stradivarius was on loan to Almond from an anonymous local donor and is appraised at $5 million.
