Milwaukee will be in the national spotlight this year as the Democratic National Convention comes to our city. The 174th City of Milwaukee Birthday Party will celebrate the people, places and things that make our city “unconventional.” Join the Milwaukee Press Club on Thursday, January 30, 2020 as we toast to Unconventional Milwaukee.
All politics aside, as Milwaukeeans, we will all be asked to be the best stewards and brand ambassadors for our city in July 2020 when thousands of delegates, business leaders and visitors come to town. During this time, we will highlight the joys of Milwaukee cornerstones such as exploring our brewing heritage, taking selfies with the Bronze Fonz, biking along Lake Michigan and catching a concert at Summerfest, but we also should highlight the lesser-known aspects of our city that make us unique.

Milwaukee has a rich and unconventional history that we must recognize, honor and share. Leading up to the City Birthday Party, event attendees will have the opportunity to bid on “unconventional” gifts and behind-the-scenes tours via the Press Club’s Facebook page and lucky winners will be announced at the event.
Advanced registration deadline is Mon., Jan. 27 and is $35 per person; on-site registration is $40 per person. Your ticket includes the opportunity to network with fellow Milwaukeans, gourmet food stations by Bartolotta Catering, complimentary beer, birthday cake and a gift for you to take home. Advanced registration is suggested and can be done by booking below. Checks may be mailed to the MPC at PO Box 176, North Prairie, WI 53153-0176. Cancellations will be accepted up to 48 hours in advance for a full refund.
