Send Your Students to KEMPA Journalism Summer Camp!

Please invite your high school students to the KEMPA Journalism Summer Camp “Reaching New Heights” held July 23-25 for high school students interested in media. The camp is hosted at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater campus this year with guests staying in the brand new Ma’iingan Residence Hall!

Campers will enjoy four days of invigorating workshops in Broadcasting, Writers Circle, Sports Media and Photojournalism. They’ll be right in the action with award-winning professionals. Get their school publication or portfolio critiqued. Work in state-of-the-art studios and labs. Enjoy inspiring talks that will get them educated and excited about media!

Nightly excursions feature trips to the campus swimming pool, bowling lanes, athletic facilities and movie theater. Plus Campers can compete for fun prizes in the annual KEMPA Cup. They'll enjoy nights with friends safely in the newly built dorm, or come just for the daytime! A camp t-shirt, meals and fun swag are all included.
UW-Whitewater is a large campus located in the southeastern rolling hills of Wisconsin about an hour or so right between Madison, Milwaukee and the Chicago area.

Registration runs from April 1 – July 1. Cost is $500 dollars for overnight campers and $470 dollars for commuters. Attendees with advisers who are KEMPA members receive a $50 discount. We hope to see YOU “Reaching New Heights” July 23-25 at the 2023 Summer Journalism KEMPA Camp!
