The Wisconsin Newspaper Association is a leading organization dedicated to supporting and advocating for the newspaper industry. Our mission is to provide resources, education, and representation to our member newspapers. We are looking for a skilled Fundraiser and with good communications skills to join our team and help advance our goals.

Job Summary: This position will play a critical role in developing and implementing fundraising strategies, managing relationships with donors and sponsors, and enhancing the association’s communication efforts. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
Fundraising:
• Develop and execute fundraising plans.
• Identify individual donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations.
• Organize and manage fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives.
• Write grant proposals and reports to secure funding from foundations and private funders.
• Maintain accurate donor records and track fundraising progress.

Communications:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to promote the association and its initiatives.
• Create and manage content for newsletters, press releases, social media, the association’s website, and other communication channels.
• Manage the association’s social media presence, engage with followers, and build a strong online community.
• Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication platforms.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, Journalism, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Creative thinker with the ability to develop and implement innovative strategies.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in event planning and execution.
• Some knowledge of grant writing.
• Familiarity with graphic design software and content management systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suites, WordPress & MailChimp
